Rampart In The Mining Industry
With Rampart having its focus on providing monitoring systems that enable “Intelligent Bulk Solids Handling”, we designed the BeltGard system from the outset to be expandable and modularly upgradeable. We are now in field trials with two of those: BeltGard RD for longitudinal conveyor belt rip detection without the use of belt sensor loops or implants (for either steel cord or fabric reinforced conveyor belting); and BeltGard BMD for tramp metal detection within conveyed bulk mineral material.

BeltGard X for steel
cord reinforced conveyor
belts, which provides for
steel cord imaging, in fact, x-ray
equivalent in terms of resolution. This has great utility for quality assurance during the splicing or joining of belting (i.e. customers are belting service companies); BeltGard CP for real-time conveyor belt cover wear profiling (for either steel cord or fabric reinforced conveyor belting); BeltGard TM for real-time conveyor belt tension monitoring (for either steel cord or fabric reinforced conveyor belting); and BeltGard HMD for the detection of tramp metal ingress from dumping haul trucks at the mouth of the crusher hopper.
Although the BeltGard series of monitoring systems were
originally aimed at large mine site customers, very recently, another and potentially just as large customer base was discovered, and that is bulk solids handling terminals. These terminals have numerous critical conveyor lines, and are candidate customers for BeltGard SC, RD, CP, BMD and TM.
