Rip Detection System

RipDECT is a rip detection system designed to determine when an intruding piece of metal has pierced a conveyor belt.

RipDECT operates passively and does not require implants.

Normally located at the impact zone of a conveyor belt system, the RipDECT is installed underneath the impact idlers and inspects the underside of the belt continuously.

When the belt is pierced and begins to rip, the RipDECT system identifies and reports the damage to the mine in real-time.
